Registration Open: 7th International EFJCA Conference

The EFJCA and the Union of Women Associations of Heraklion warmly invite you to join us for the 7th International EFJCA Conference, taking place on October 6 and 7 2025 in the beautiful city of Heraklion, Crete. This year’s theme, "From Vision to Implementation: Advancing Gender-Responsive Multidisciplinary Policies Towards Sustainable Family Justice Centers," brings together professionals, policymakers and advocates from across Europe to reflect on the growth and future of Family Justice Centers (FJCs).

Focus

Together, we will explore how FJCs are being developed in different countries and settings, what sustainability means in practice, and how we can ensure strong engagement from governments and authorities. The focus will be on gender-based approaches and building effective multidisciplinary cooperation to better serve victims and families.

We will talk about the role of (local) authorities, the Istanbul Convention, the EU directive on combattting violence against women and domestic violence. We will cover key topics such as risk assessment, digital case-building, information sharing, trauma-informed work, accountability, and the involvement of Voices, lived-experience experts. We will offer insight in the work of European Family Justice Centers.

There will be opportunities for networking, exchanging ideas, and learning from each other’s experiences.

The spoken language is English. If taking part in person isn’t possible, registration for the on-line version is also available, both days will be streamed.
