Coordinated Inter-Agency Cooperation, and the Family Justice Centers, the Belgian Experience
Estonia, a large country in relation to its population, has a relatively homogeneous population.
However, even these countries in the far north are not spared from the problem of domestic violence.
In early March 2026, we were invited as guest speakers to participate at the conference in Tallinn to explain the Family Justice Center model.
When the Minister of the Interior stays behind for feedback, you know you've made a contribution and laid a solid, sustainable foundation.

Organizing Police Response Operations and Non-fatal Strangulation
We then traveled to Tartu, Estonia's second-largest city. There, we worked with a dedicated team of regional police officers from various disciplines, all of whom are confronted with domestic violence.
It was an inspiring, interactive session where we shared good practices. The topic of non-fatal strangulation was particularly well-received!

Thank you, Pille Tsopp-Pagan, for the invitation and your trust. The EFJCA will continue to support the rollout of a Family Justice Center where all involved partners, working in a multidisciplinary way, can find a common place to share information under one roof.
