Affiliation Process
Goal
The affiliation process of the European Alliance for Hope and Empowerment offers two levels of affiliation, each designed to reflect the individual needs of local communities, while ensuring adherence to best practices and trauma-informed approaches in service provision. These standards ensure communities are creating systems change and challenging the traditional way of providing services to victims and their families by bundling services and integrating critical service providers from the advocacy and criminal justice systems.
The levels of affiliation include:
- Affiliated European Multidisciplinary Models and
- Affiliated European Family Justice Centers.
Affiliated European Multidisciplinary Models
To be considered an Affiliated Multidisciplinary Model applicant must:
- Have to be a privileged EFJCA member
- Have at least three different co-located service providers
- Adhere to and demonstrate the implementation of the EFJCA Guiding Principles in service delivery and comply with the ethical principles and EU core values bases on Article 2 of the Treaty on the European Union and Article 21 of the EU-charter of Fundamental Rights.
- Have a Child Protection Policy in line with the content ‘Keeping the Children Safe, Child safeguarding standards and how to implement them’.
- Engage meaningfully with the European Family Justice Center Alliance’s team
- Provide requested statistics and data to the EFJCA.
Affiliated European Family Justice Center Models
- Have to be a privileged EFJCA member
- Have a centralized intake process and an information sharing process with a minimum of the following, co-located agencies:
- A community-based organisation
- Law enforcement and/or Prosecutors’ unit and/or justice department - Civil legal services.
- Adhere to and demonstrate the implementation of the EFJCA Guiding Principles in service delivery and comply with the ethical principles and EU core values bases on Article 2 of the Treaty on the European Union and Article 21 of the EU-charter of Fundamental Rights.
- Have a Child Protection Policy in line with the content ‘Keeping the Children Safe, Child safeguarding standards and how to implement them’.
- Engage meaningfully with the European Family Justice Center Alliance’s team.
- Provide requested statistics and data to the EFJCA.

- Active involvement in European FJC developments
- Interaction with the EFJCA network
- Free access to EFJCA webinars
- Possibility to apply for regranting project if the EFJCA recognized for regranting by the EC. - Letters of Support for Grants and other funding solicitations.
- Video endorsement and other public support on an as-needed basis.
- European spotlight of your Center in EFJCA communication and social media platforms.
- Permission and ability to utilize trademark logos and taglines.
- Advocacy and support for Family Justice Center and Multidisciplinary Models at the local, national and European level.
- Connection and referrals to experts in the field.
- Information on current trends and promising/best practices.
- Visibility on the EFJCA website.
