Bio Jenný Kristín Valber

Jenný Kristín Valberg is the team leader at Bjarkarhlíð, overseeing the organization’s daily operations. She holds an MA in Gender Studies with a focus on intimate partner violence, a BA in Anthropology, and a postgraduate diploma in Public Administration.

Jenný has extensive experience working with survivors of violence, including as a counsellor at the Women's Shelter in Iceland. She has contributed to university research and teaching and has worked on developing survivor-centred policy initiatives. She currently leads a pilot project on integrated services for trafficking survivors on behalf of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Housing.

Jenný serves on the supervisory board of EFJCA and has completed specialized trainings on human trafficking with OSCE/ODIHR.
