Bio Nienke Scholten

Nienke Scholten is a dedicated professional specializing in the areas of domestic violence, sexual violence, honor-based violence and multi-agency cooperation. Originally from the Netherlands, she has studied legal psychology, criminology, and law.

She has experience working for both the local police as well as the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgium. Currently, she serves as a strategic advisor to the Flemish Ministry of Justice, focusing on the Flemish Family Justice Centers (Veilige Huizen) and the complex but highly important collaboration between the justice system and partner organizations.
