Bio Melina Daskalakis

Melina Daskalakis is a lawyer and a member of the Athens Bar Association. From 2011 to 2014, she served as a Neighbourhood Councilor, and from 2015 to 2023, she was a Municipal Councilor in the City of Athens. In October 2025, she completed a postgraduate programme in Governance and Public Policies at the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of the Peloponnese.

She has served as President of the Reception and Solidarity Centre of the Municipality of Athens (K.Y.A.D.A.) (2021–2023), President of the City of Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (EATA) (2019–2021), and President of the Municipal Radio Broadcasting Corporation “Athina 9.84” (2017–2019).

From 2019 to 2023, she held the position of Appointed Municipal Councilor for the Support and Social Integration of Migrants and Refugees, and was Chair of the Migrant Integration Council of the City of Athens. In 2024 (February–December), she also served as Technical Advisor on Integration at the Ministry of Migration and Asylum.

She has actively participated (as President of the Committee for Charitable Foundations of the City of Athens and as a member of a temporary board) in the restructuring of the Athens Benevolent Society (Athens Nursing Home).

For over three decades, she has worked as a Legal Advisor in the Legal Departments of banks, brokerage and investment firms, and major commercial companies, specialising in Capital Markets Law.

She was born in 1963 in Koukaki, where she still resides, and she is a mother of two sons and a grandmother.
