Training for Law Enforcement, Aruba

The EFJCA trained the police force of Aruba (80 participants) on tackling gender based and domestic violence. During the training, several topics were addressed:

• Safety and safety planning
• Dynamics and profiles of gender based and domestic violence
• Impact psychological violence
• Triangle in working with perpetrators
• Temporary restraining order (find out a section of the law)
• Non-fatal strangulation
• Victim blaming
• Trauma and trauma-impact
• Working with children witnessing violence at home
• Multidisciplinary work in the FJC
